Saffrun Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Saffrun. We help runners find the right running shoes and gear through an AI-driven quiz and recommendations. Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using our website. By accessing https://saff.run, using the shoe quiz, or following links to retailers, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Saffrun.

1. About Saffrun

Saffrun is a free running shoe and gear recommendation service. You take a short quiz about your running style, goals, and preferences; we use AI to suggest shoes and gear that may suit you. We link to trusted European retailers via affiliate programmes (e.g. Awin, Daisycon). We may earn a commission when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. Saffrun is operated from the Netherlands.

2. Not Medical or Professional Advice

Our recommendations are for general information and convenience only. They are not medical, podiatric, or professional advice. We do not diagnose conditions or guarantee that any shoe or gear is suitable for you. If you have injuries, foot conditions, or health concerns, please consult a qualified professional before making purchase decisions.

3. Affiliate Links & Purchases

  • Affiliate links: Links to retailers on our site may be affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy after clicking through. The price you pay is set by the retailer; we do not charge you extra.
  • Refunds and returns: Any refunds, returns, or complaints about products are handled by the retailer you bought from, not by Saffrun. Please contact that retailer directly.
  • No guarantee of availability or price: We do not guarantee that products we recommend are in stock or that prices are correct. Always check the retailer's site before purchasing.

4. Free Service & Future Changes

Use of the shoe quiz and recommendations is free. We may introduce optional paid features or change the service in the future. We will notify you of material changes where required (e.g. via email or a notice on the site). You can stop using Saffrun at any time.

5. Data Privacy & GDPR

We process personal data in line with the GDPR and Dutch law, under the oversight of the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP). For what we collect, why, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy. You can manage cookie preferences at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

6. Your Responsibilities

  • Provide truthful information in the quiz where you choose to participate.
  • Do not misuse the site (e.g. scraping, hacking, spamming).
  • You must be 16 or older to use Saffrun. Contact us for parental consent if under 16.
  • Comply with applicable laws when using our site and when purchasing from retailers.

7. Intellectual Property

Saffrun's name, logo, website, and content are our property. You may not copy or use them for commercial purposes without permission. Retailer names, logos, and product information remain the property of those retailers.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • As-is: Saffrun is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that recommendations are accurate, complete, or suitable for you.
  • No liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Saffrun is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses; loss of profit or data; or any damages arising from your use of the site, reliance on recommendations, or purchases from retailers.
  • Third parties: We are not responsible for the actions, content, or policies of retailers or other third-party sites you reach via our links.

9. Termination

You may stop using Saffrun at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for legal or operational reasons. Where you have an account, you can request deletion by contacting support@saff.run. Data will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be communicated (e.g. by email or notice on the site) where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands (e.g. Amsterdam), unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
